Depending on if you own a horse or Lease one the equipment you need will vary.

If you keep your horse at your own home you will also need more than if you boarded

your horse elsewhere.

The basics:  A supply of good hay, Halters, lead ropes, bridles & bits, saddle, saddle pad, brushes and hoof picks, buckets for food & water,

pitch fork for mucking, wheel barrow, shelter for horse, storage area for feed and Tack and some kind of

fencing (not barbed wire), A good Vet.

A good place to look to start your search is at a local farm supply store.

A good source for saddles is:

If you look around your area you might find local Horse auctions Like we have here twice a year.  They have every farm and horse related

item you can think of and some you would not.  If you buy a horse at one of these be sure to take extra safety concerning its health a 14

day quarantine is best.  I bought my horse at one and she ended up with shipping fever.  It was a long time but she came through ok.

The Extra's: Round pen for training and exercise, lounge ropes and training whip (not for hitting the horse but the ground next to him),

A trailer for transport to the Vet and Farrier or to a riding area (unless you have a good friend that will do this for you), Stalls in

an enclosed barn (not a mandatory thing as long as you provide shelter) and many extra fancy things that are mostly for show

that unless you plan on showing you will not need right away.

Again you can find some stuff at local fam supply stores or for Trailers you can look for used ones online.
